AI and crypto – how can they benefit from each other?

For several days now, I've been seeing numerous posts on my timeline saying that AI + crypto is going to be the next big thing.

However, none of the posts explain exactly how the two topics benefit from each other. And of course, there are never any answers to questions posted under the posts.

I also find it difficult to immediately see a meaningful connection between blockchain and AI.

I find both topics exciting in themselves, and it would be even more exciting if there were a meaningful connection between them.

So my question to the general public is: are there any meaningful applications? If so, what are they?
