Any way of getting energy without trx?
Alternatively, buy trx without kyc whatsoever?

I recently made a satirical post in another subreddit about the amount of security supposedly required to store Bitcoin safely. The satire deliberately exaggerated the point, but I would like to discuss the underlying concern seriously here. As a full disclosure, I am very skeptical of cryptocurrencies in general, but I find it interesting to follow.

My concern is not that the Bitcoin protocol itself is easy to hack.With self-custody, possession of the private key effectively determines control of the money. That provides genuine independence from intermediaries, but it also transfers a large collection of responsibilities from financial institutions to individual users.

A person holding a meaningful amount must potentially think about:

• Malware and compromised computers or phones
• Phishing and fraudulent wallet interfaces
• Malicious or compromised transaction addresses
• Hardware-wallet and supply-chain risks
• Secure creation and storage of seed phrases
• Fire, flooding, theft and accidental destruction
• Password or passphrase loss
• Backups that are both redundant and inaccessible to thieves
• Firmware and software updates
• Physical coercion or kidnapping
• Recovery after incapacity
• Inheritance without giving heirs premature access

The official Bitcoin guidance itself recommends measures such as multiple secure backup locations, encrypted backups, offline storage, hardware wallets, software updates, multisignature arrangements and an inheritance plan. Bitcoin Core also gives users a wallet-responsibility checklist that includes backups, cold storage, monitoring security notifications and ensuring heirs can recover the funds.

These are reasonable recommendations. The problem is that, taken together, they resemble a simplified institutional key-management program.

Professional organizations treat cryptographic key management as an entire discipline involving policies, defined responsibilities, backup, recovery, compromise procedures, lifecycle management and documented security practices. NIST has hundreds of pages of guidance on this subject. Most ordinary users cannot realistically audit their wallet software, evaluate firmware, design a robust multisignature arrangement or test an inheritance procedure without introducing another vulnerability.

I recognize the counterargument. Self-custody can be extremely valuable for people facing capital controls, political repression, unstable institutions or exclusion from financial services. Some users also knowingly accept the operational burden because censorship resistance matters more to them than recoverability, but that use case seems tiny, similar to TOR. That is not what the current valuations we see are based on. People expect mass adoption.

I believe mass adoption necessarily means that most people interact with cryptocurrency through regulated custodians and other institutions, effectively rebuilding much of the banking infrastructure that cryptocurrency was supposed to replace. However, centralization makes cryptocurrencies pointless. You might as well use a database, or some kind of centralized standard like SWIFT used by thousands of institutions to send money.

Obviously, most people here believe in cryptocurrencies. How do you solve the contradiction in my previous paragraph?

Is it safe to store Bitcoins in Muun wallet for a long term, on a formatted spare Android phone (running on Android 9) that is always offline?

Self custody is not a problem, what happened is that generating your seed with a ColdCard MK3 would not have enough entropy, making your private key easy to be guessed, thats it. Your MK3 is still usable, but you should NOT use it to generate a seed, instead you have to use any other solution to generate your seed and then load it on your MK3.

Your MK3 is not useless, it still works as intended.

As the title says, anyone using kraken funded? Trying to gauge if it’s worth it or are you better off just doing futures? Same thing applies: lose 5% and you lose your buy in, once you pass the “test” phase you’re amplifying your profits while limiting your potential loss to whatever your buy in was.

Currently doing the 5k one for 2 weeks. Still on the test phase with 8.9% gain. Need 12% gain to go into real money. One thing iv learned: Im definitely not great at day trading. 2% up, 2% up, 3% down, 2% up, 2% down etc…

The pros with it:

-you’re limited on how much you can lose with your buy in.

-If you play your hands carefully you can potentially make a decent profit.

-if you have a tendency to gamble or trade for fun, it’s ideal for entertainment purposes. A small sum of money can keep you trading for a long time.

The cons:

-Once you lose 5% you’re out whereas you need to gain 12% to be in.

-if you’re already decent at day/swing trading, you may be better off just doing futures and not having to give 20% to kraken.

-once you are in the “real” money, it starts over again you’re back to 0% PNL. Basically removing anything you had built up and giving you another opportunity to lose the 5%!

-With the sum involved(5/10k), one bad trade could easily knock you out!

Anyway, just interested in hearing opinions/strategies or wondering if I missed something… I like the concept of it but it’s one of those things”if it sounds too good to be true…”.

With the recent ColdCard situation, it’s really making me wonder if our crypto is truly safe anywhere? It feels like these companies keep fucking up in every way possible.

A few years ago i got into crypto and bought a ledger nano plus. But now that wallet sucks and its Mac application is sketchy af to where i don’t trust it. I was considering a Trezor or ColdCard, but now I’m starting to question whether there is a hardware wallet that is actually safe.

What do you think?

I'm based in Australia, and have only just gotten into cryptocurrency, and saw that Revolut has a crypto section. So is it any good? Or what apps would you guys recommend? Thanks

I used to support Bitcoin and believed self-custody was the safest way to protect your money. But after seeing so many people lose years of savings while using hardware wallets, I’ve completely changed my mind.

What really gets me is that many of these people weren’t being reckless. They bought reputable hardware wallets, moved their coins off exchanges because that’s what the crypto community tells everyone to do, and genuinely believed they were following best practices. Then one day their wallets were empty, and there was nothing they could do. At least if someone steals my XRP off coinbase, maybe Coinbase can help me. If anything, exchanges are now safer at this point!

I know some of these cases could have been caused by user error, compromised seed phrases, or other security mistakes. But that’s exactly the problem. If one mistake or one security lapse you don’t even realize happened can permanently wipe out years of savings with no customer support, no fraud protection, and no way to recover your money, that’s not a level of risk I’m willing to accept.

I’ve reached the point where I’m done with crypto and done defending it. I’d rather invest in assets that have safeguards and don’t require perfect security practices just to avoid losing everything.

Maybe Bitcoin isn’t for me anymore. Seeing story after story of people who thought they were doing everything right and still ended up losing life-changing amounts of money was enough to change my opinion. I’m curious if anyone else has had the same change of heart.

This ColdCard news has got me shook. Thankfully I don’t use ColdCard but seeing the amount of people who lost their BTC unexpectedly has made me question if this can happen to other cold wallets.

Will it be safe to store Bitcoins on it by following the below steps:

1. Format the phone

2. Install nothing but a Self-Custodial Bitcoin wallet app on the phone

3. Transfer Bitcoins to the wallet

4. Turn off the internet

5. Keep the phone switched off until needed.

I am needing to cash out all my crypto holdings. Its mainly Bitcoin & Eth. It's in a cold wallet currently. Should I move it to Coinbase(still have an account there but almost no $$ in there as I moved it all to a cold wallet last year.) & then convert to US dollars to cash out? Or, should I go through Robinhood?

So the Titel says it all really, how can I reach support, I left germany with the car omw to spain and now in france, I installed the app on my new phone and new number and boom account and card deactivated. Support isn't answering and still waiting on Mods to approve the post on Cryptocom subreddit... how long does support normally take to answer ?! It seems like model performance is becoming easier to access.

If everyone has similar AI capabilities, maybe the real advantage comes from how those capabilities are connected into everyday work.

Am I overthinking it?

Been in this space a few years now and something that keeps bugging me is how anyone holding anything besides BTC gets immediately labeled a “shitcoiner” in threads like this. I get the OG respect BTC deserves, but at this point its market cap is so massive that the realistic upside from here is just… limited. You’re not getting 10x on a multi-trillion dollar asset without something insane happening.

Meanwhile there’s projects doing genuinely interesting things that get dismissed without a second look. ZEC for example, it’s essentially BTC’s core value prop (sound money, scarcity) but with actual privacy tech and quantum-resistant cryptography baked in. That’s up over 10x in the last year. Hyperliquid is another one, this isn’t some meme coin, it’s a platform generating billions in real revenue

I’m not saying dump your BTC. I’m saying the “anything that isn’t BTC is a scam” mentality is lazy and it’s costing people returns. There’s a difference between actual garbage projects and coins with real tech, real usage, and real revenue behind them.

So, I've been seeing more discussions about quantum computing and its potential impact on crypto.

Most conversations still focus on scalability, AI, or tokenization, while quantum security rarely gets mentioned.

I was trying to move some small amounts around and crypto.com doesn't recognize the code that my authenticator is producing is there anything I can do.

I tried three different authenticators and I get the same message every time and I tried to use their customer support which is basically useless.

The guy/group would simply use no KYC swap services to convert that BTC into Monero or another privacy focused crypto. Even converting the funds to L-BTC and later back to BTC using a new wallet or swapping from L-BTC directly to Monero would make tracing extremely hard to do.

Then, they could occasionally swap small amounts into USDC or USDT and spend them through a crypto debit card, and use that money for stuff.

No amount of blockchain analysis will be able to trace it if the guy/group manage to not f*ck it up and use privacy focused tools to clean all that money.

Ever since Bitmart announced their wind-down, all withdrawals have been frozen or instantly rejected upon submission. Thousands of us are stuck in this mess with zero communication from their end.

To make matters worse, they have now completely disabled OTP messages.

A group of us are actively filing reports and reaching out to legal firms. I’m posting this to raise awareness and urge the community to look into the situation we need all the reach we can get right now..

Most AI wallet demos focus on whether an agent can swap, bridge, stake and rebalance on its own.

That is the easy part.

The hard part is what happens when the agent reads a poisoned webpage, misunderstands a token, retries a failed transaction or follows an instruction that was never meant to control money.

A normal wallet asks for approval one transaction at a time. An agent wallet probably needs policy before execution.

It should know the maximum value it can move each day.

It should have an allowlist of chains and contracts.

Slippage, gas, bridges and token approvals should have hard limits.

Some actions should always require a human signature.

Every active permission should have one immediate kill switch.

The agent should also show a plain language receipt before acting. What it saw. What assumption it made. What it plans to spend. What would make it stop.

Prompts are not a security boundary. A convincing website can change what a model believes. The wallet policy has to stay outside the model and fail closed.

The useful question is not whether AI can manage a wallet. It is how much authority it should receive before it has earned any trust.

Would you let an agent rebalance a small wallet if every transaction sat inside a hard policy, or is onchain autonomy a bad idea even with those limits?

DeFi lending had a brutal Q2. The rsETH exploit shook a lot of confidence in DeFi in general. Borrowing demand was weak. Spreads were tight. Revenue fell.

Some numbers: Aave's interest income dropped 23% & Ethena's fees dropped 21%. In that same window, Spark more than doubled its share of the lending market & stayed profitable. As a defi maximalist, this headline caught my attention. Here's my takeaway's from the latest Blockworks report on their Q2.

First, what is Spark? It's a capital allocator for stablecoins. It sources liquidity from Sky (the protocol formerly known as MakerDAO) & routes that capital across a range of venues: its own market SparkLend, Morpho, institutional desks like Anchorage & Arkis, & Uniswap. It moves the money to wherever demand & spreads are best. Essentially, it's a protocol of DeFi yield farmers trying to maximize return and minimize risk.

The data - Spark went from 4.3% to 10.4% of outstanding loans across the major venues while the combined loan book for that whole group shrank about 30%. It grew its slice while the pie got smaller. Net income was ~$3.3M for the quarter, operating costs flat at $1.1M a month. Spark bought back $1.31M of SPK in Q2 straight out of operating surplus. So here we have a real, profitable business buying back their own tokens with profit.

My takeaway on risk management - In mid-April a bridge exploit elsewhere in DeFi (the rsETH depeg) stressed collateral markets across the board. Spark had built oracle killswitches that freeze loans if an asset's price moves more than 5% off peg, plus rate limits on how fast capital can move. This is growing in the industry (Morpho, Gauntlet, and Yearn and 3 protocols I'm a fan of that also have these kill-switches, but it isn't ubiquitous). During the exploit, Spark took zero loss. In the weeks following the KelpDAO exploit, Spark added ~$1B in inflows. Capital managers evaluated Spark and deployed due to the risk management system.

The third thing Spark is growing as a liquidity engine behind other people's stablecoin products. You can read the entire insight by Blockworkds, but they are basically working with PayPal & PYUSD, Uniswap, Robinhood Earn, and BitGo. The earn programs operate on an infrastructure level, simplifying UX and Spark earns a portion of the yield they generate. Vaults, but vaults with strong integrations.

A lot of Spark's revenue has shifted into one bucket. Distribution rewards (payments from Sky for driving USDS adoption) hit $4.88M in Q2 & now make up around 74% of net revenue, while lending-spread income fell 59% as rates compressed. Distributing a stablecoin at scale is a real, hard job, & demand for it is exploding. Spark does it well, but there's a concentration risk as it makes up so much of the business. At the same time, Spark holds more than double the lending market share it had, so when borrowing demand recovers, that share converts straight into profit. They're positioned for the recovery while having another business that can generate income while waiting on a recovery.

The big takeaway is DeFi is no longer a 1-trick game for the protocols. They need multiple, diverse revenue streams if they're going to survive the competitive landscape and crypto winters. Spark seems to have that. We've seen Aave & Morpho getting into more verticals also.

Some may be bearish on the future of DeFi, but I've never been more bullish.

I didn't lose anything in this hack. But it shook me enough to write this out, because I genuinely believe most retail buyers, including my past self, have no idea what questions to ask before buying a hardware wallet.

What actually happened

This wasn't a hack in the traditional sense. Nobody broke into a server. Nobody phished anyone.

A firmware bug introduced in March 2021 caused Coldcard's Mk3 devices to silently skip their hardware random number generator during seed creation. Instead of drawing entropy from a secure hardware source, the device fell back to software-based generation seeded by the chip's serial number and internal clock registers. Neither of those are secret. Neither of those are random in any meaningful sense.

The result: seeds that should have had 2^128 possible combinations instead had around 4.2 billion. A desktop computer can run through 4.2 billion combinations in about 20 minutes.

The attacker didn't guess your seed. They predicted it. And they did it to 500 wallets simultaneously in under half an hour.

The terrifying part: this bug lived silently in the firmware for five years. People who did everything right, bought hardware, went self-custody, stayed off exchanges, lost everything anyway.

The questions every hardware wallet buyer should ask

Part 1: The architecture questions

Does the wallet use a certified secure element? Not just "a secure chip" but one with independent third party certifications like EAL5+ or EAL6+. This means the chip's randomness has been mathematically verified to produce full entropy.

Is the firmware open source with reproducible builds? The Coldcard bug went undetected for five years partly because auditing complex firmware is hard. Open source firmware lets independent researchers verify what the device actually does during key generation.

Does a single point of failure exist anywhere in your setup? Even a wallet with a perfect TRNG generates a single seed. One seed means one point of failure. If that seed is ever compromised through a firmware flaw, physical attack, or supply chain issue, the attacker has everything.

What happens if your device is lost, stolen, or destroyed? Most people think about this in terms of seed phrase backup. But that backup is now your single point of failure. If someone finds it, they have your Bitcoin.

Part 2: My personal journey, not a recommendation

I'm sharing this not to tell you what to buy but to show how I thought through the decision so you can figure out your own path.

After going through Part 1, I started asking a different question entirely. Instead of "how do I protect my seed phrase," I asked "what if I didn't have one?" I also had a specific requirement that most people don't think about until it's too late: I needed non-KYC inheritance support. No custodian. No third party knowing my identity. Just a way to ensure my Bitcoin reaches the right people if something happens to me.

That ruled out Trezor and Bitbox for me. Neither had native non-KYC inheritance support built into the architecture at the time I was evaluating them.

That search led me to Cypherock X1 about two years ago. It uses Shamir's Secret Sharing to split your private key across five components. No single component holds a usable key. You need any two of the five to reconstruct it. Lose three and you're still fine. Someone steals one card and they have nothing. It also has Cypherock Cover, a non-KYC inheritance feature built natively into the product.

Again, I'm not saying it's the right answer for everyone. I'm saying it answered my specific questions. Figure out your own list of questions first, then find what answers them.

How to buy a hardware wallet that won't end up like Coldcard

Before buying anything, ask the manufacturer these questions and verify the answers independently:

• What secure element does the device use and what is its entropy certification?
• Is the firmware fully open source with reproducible builds?
• What is the entropy source during seed generation? Ask for technical documentation, not the marketing page.
• What is the single point of failure in my setup?
• Does the architecture distribute risk or concentrate it?

The crypto community has spent years telling people to get off exchanges. That advice is right. But we never followed it up with "here's how to evaluate what you're moving your Bitcoin into."

Do your own research. Read the technical docs. Ask the questions above. And don't let Reddit recommendations substitute for due diligence.

And most importantly, self-custody is still the way forward. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise

With all the Coldcard issues going around, do you think multi sig is much more needed than before? if so, what options do we have?

I used to own my cryptos on Coinbase for years until I've recently decided to completely switch to owning non-custodial and got my Model T. I need to convert BTC to USDT but i'm mixed wether Trezor Suite is trustworthy / has good rates or it's better instead to send my crypto to an Coinbase and send it back to trezor.

For those who've used it, how was your experience with fees, rates, speed etc?

Got a phishing email that looked way too real, spoofed as [hello@crypto.com](mailto:hello@crypto.com), styled exactly like their actual emails. Panicked and went through the whole flow, login, 2FA, all of it. Should’ve caught it, my anti-phishing code wasn’t in the email and I just didn’t think to check being busy at work and frantic. Lesson learned, check that code every time.

Ended up with two LINK to ETH conversions on my account I never made. Caught it, locked the account, changed password, reset 2FA. Nothing actually left my account, which I know I got lucky on.

But that unauthorized conversion cost me close to $1k in value between what I used to have and what I have now, straight to Crypto.com, off a trade I never initiated. Been in their support chat for days now with screenshots and transaction IDs asking them if anything can be done to reverse it and refund the fees just looking for an answer. Just keep getting circular scripted responses. At one point they literally told me “there were no unauthorized transactions” even though I already sent proof it happened. Asking me the same questions multiple times, avoiding my actual question. It’s really been one of the worst experiences of customer service ever.

Not looking for sympathy for falling for this, that’s on me. Just frustrated a company won’t acknowledge fraud on their own platform or help with a resolution to refund fees from a trade I didn’t make. Anyone dealt with this before or know a way to get a resolution from this? Or am I just screwed and should go ahead and convert back to my original coins

Coldcard, a popular bitcoin-only hardware wallet, is at the epicenter of a serious drama in the bitcoin world. At least 594 BTC ($38 million) has been drained, and users who migrated from Coldcard to other wallets may also be affected. AI might have helped the criminals.

BTC is still around $64k, but hashprice is only about $32/PH/day right now. That’s basically what miners earn for each unit of computing power. The June low was around $28.

So BTC has recovered a bit, but miner revenue really hasn’t recovered much with it. I keep seeing BTC price used as a shortcut for how healthy miners are. Doesn’t look like a very good shortcut right now.

This analysis is based on Strategy's "New & Updated Metrics" presentation released on July 23, 2026. I've also deciphered a lot of the background financial terminology that was left out of the slides.

TL;DR: MicroStrategy keeps changing its metrics to fit new narratives:

In summary, a lot of MicroStrategy/Strategy's misleading older metrics for mNAV and BPS were no longer looking positive after diluting/selling MSTR to increase cash reserves or execute STRC buybacks. So they've needed to invent new terminology to help bridge that gap and account for increasing cash reserves.

While I believe the new metrics are more accurate (and more similar to CEBE metrics), I do not appreciate how Microstrategy has historically ignored widespread criticism over their older misleading metrics when those old metrics were benefitting their marketing by painting their performance as more positive than they actually were. Only now are they acknowleding the criticism over metrics when it benefits them.

This isn't the first time MicroStrategy has updated its metrics. Similar to how the rainbow chart evolves every time it loses its narrative, MicroStrategy's mNAV has evolved from Basic mNAV to Diluted mNAV to Enterprise mNAV to the "new" mNAV and new Net BPS.

What's the difference between In-The-Money and Out-of-The-Money?

Microstrategy's puttable debt can be ITM (converts to shares) or OTM (redeems for cash). Puttable means that the debt holders have the choice of redeeming for cash OR converting to shares.

• In the Money (ITM): Converts to shares. The current market price of the common stock is higher than the preset conversion price. Converting the security into common shares is worth more than holding it as a fixed-income asset.
• Out of the Money (OTM): Redeems for cash. The current market price of the common stock is lower than the profitable conversion price
• All convertibles and STRK are currently OTM because MSTR price is too low ($97) for them to convert profitably ($150-$1000). This is really bad for MicroStrategy because those convertibles can be redeemed at their high conversion values for cash on their 2027-2029 put dates.

New Net Metrics

The old metrics were replaced by ones that include the USDC reserve but subtract debt.

Created because the plain BPS metric was no longer increasing when selling MSTR to increase the reserves (i.e. diluting MSTR shares).

• Reserve ($): BTC Reserve + USD Reserve
• Fully Diluted Shares Outstanding (FDSO): Basic shares + Options + RSUs/PSUs + In-The-Money Debt & Pref
• Assumed Diluted Shares Outstanding (ADSO): Basic shares + Options + RSUs/PSUs + All Debt & Pref
• Net Reserve ($): BTC Reserve + USD Reserves - (OTM Debt and Prefs)
• Net BTC (₿): BTC + Net Reserves / Bitcoin Price
• Net BTC Per Share (Sats): Net BTC (₿) in sats / Fully Diluted Shares Outstanding
• Net BTC Per Share ($): Net BPS (sats) × Bitcoin Price

Net BPS (in Sats and $) are the 2 big ones they're now using for their KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Strategy expects a ~50% performance increase (i.e. Amplification) by using Net BPS instead of plain BPS as a metric. I honestly don't know why the Amplification metric exists other than to make numbers look good.

Updated Metrics

• mNAV: MSTR price / Net BPS = MSTR FSDO market cap / Net Reserves
• Amplification: BTC Reserve / Net Reserve

The older Enterprise mNAV was calculated as: Enterprise Value / BTC Reserve

This new mNAV is a pain to calculate since it keeps changing depending on whether the convertible debt is ITM or OTM. This mNAV rises faster than Enterprise mNAV the higher it gets from 1.0. (e.g. Currently, Ent mNAV is 1.02 while new mNAV is 1.05.)

mNAV still acts fine as a craziness index. mNAV under 1 means that everything is backed and that investors are sane. mNAV over 2-3 means that investors are getting overly-bullish.

Other new metrics:

• Duration (Yrs): Reserve / Annual Interest and Dividend Obligations, expressed in years
• BTC Hurdle ARR: Represents Strategy’s effective cost of credit (for dividends and debt), above which MSTR captures a positive spread.
• BTC Floor ARR: 1.0x: Represents the lowest constant BTC ARR over the weighted-average duration of the credit structure that maintains 1.0x coverage of our Net Debt and Pref through our BTC Reserve, after funding interest expense and preferred dividends over the period

This is important because below the BTC Floor ARR of 1.0x, Strategy may need to consider restructuring its credit. These new metrics complement their existing metric for "BTC Breakeven ARR", which is currently 3.24%.

TL;DR: Microstrategy has finally deprecated its old misleading metrics after they shed light on bad performance numbers. Created new metrics (that better account for reserves and debt) to help numbers look better.

I'll be back next year when newer metrics are invented again.

Something I found interesting this week. Deribit had almost $5B of BTC options open interest sitting around the $70k and $72k strikes last week. BTC is around $64.3k now.

Doesn’t mean those traders were necessarily “wrong” since a lot of that can be spreads or hedges. But it’s a good reminder that huge options positioning doesn’t mean spot has to follow.

I probably pay a little less attention to big strike numbers after this week.

I currently have made a bot that has an active decay from a time limit to reduce percentages needed to trigger a purchase in a tiered system. I was looking to see if anybody has played around with something similar and has experience with a simple bot?

My bot would basically prefer some positive price momentum with some dips in it for purchasing spots. It has delays between buys and a daily limit. After some searching on this sub, I haven't really found much for a simple bot and some discussion. If you have had any experience with this, please let me know your results and thoughts!

Quick question before you scroll: how many exchanges have your passport, your face, and your full transaction history right now? Two? Five? Do you even remember?

Everyone says "not your keys, not your coins." Fair enough. But nobody talks about the thing sitting one level up from that: every account you've ever opened is a file with your ID and your balances in it and you don't control a single one of them.

What "on an exchange" actually means

When your coins sit on an exchange, you don't own them. You own a claim against the company. Ask anyone who had funds on Celsius, Voyager, or FTX: their coins didn't disappear on-chain, they turned into unsecured creditor claims in a bankruptcy case. That's what custody really means in the fine print, and you only find out on the day it goes wrong.

Non-custodial works the other way around: you hold the asset and there's no company in the middle. You swap straight from your wallet, through something like ChangeNOW, Swapzone, or any other non-KYC exchange and the coins go out, get exchanged and come back. Nothing holds your balance in between, because there's no account to hold it.

The account itself is a risk, even when your money is fine.

Here's something that gets omitted quite a lot: even if your funds are completely safe, the account is still a liability on its own.

Every time you pass KYC, you're tying your legal identity to your crypto activity and leaving it on a server you'll never get to check. Do that across a dozen exchanges and your whole financial life is sitting in databases that get hacked (Bybit is the obvious example), get handed over when someone shows up with a subpoena, and keep existing long after you've forgotten the account was ever there. And once your passport scan is out there, you can't change it like a password.

Swap without an account and there's simply nothing to leak, because nothing got collected in the first place.

Now the part that isn't so shiny.

Anyone telling you self-custody is all upside is selling you something. The real tradeoffs:

• No reset button. Lose your seed phrase and it's gone.
• Mistakes are final. Wrong address, no chargeback, no one to call.
• It's all on you. Custodial is easier. Self-custody trades that ease for control.

For most people the sensible move is a mix: keep what you're actively trading on a solid custodial exchange and move the rest into self-custody where no account is attached to it.

So it was never only about whether your coins are safe. It's also about how many companies are holding your identity, and whether you actually trust every single one of them.

The funds are sitting in their system address on-chain right now. It takes 10 seconds on Solscan to verify.

Has anyone else dealt with HTX ignoring on-chain proof and hiding behind endless video submission loops?

Fed kept rates at 3.5–3.75%, which was expected. What caught my attention was the vote though. Three members actually wanted a 25bps hike.

I tried to post this to r/Scams and a moderator deleted it. Very worrisome.

Most crypto security advice stops at storing a seed phrase safely. That protects against one failure, but not the day when a phone dies, an exchange account is locked, a hardware wallet breaks and nobody else knows what belongs where.

A usable recovery plan should answer a few boring questions.

Which wallets are hot, cold, watch only, or contracts?

Which device holds 2FA and what happens if it is gone?

Can you revoke active wallet and exchange sessions from somewhere else?

Does a trusted person know where instructions are without having access today?

Can you rebuild the transaction history needed for taxes or an insurance claim?

Have you actually restored a small test wallet from the backup?

The strange part of self custody is that preventing theft and recovering access can pull in opposite directions. More secrecy can also create a single point of failure.

I think a small recovery drill once or twice a year is more useful than adding another security app and assuming the plan works.

I've been looking into different ways people accumulate Bitcoin besides simply buying it or mining it.

Some interesting methods I came across include:

Endur has launched private liquid staking for shielded strkBTC and STRK on Starknet.

Until now, earning yield on a shielded asset meant giving up the privacy to do it. Funds had to leave the privacy pool, pass through a public wallet and enter the protocol in the open.

This integration removes that step.

Your shielded STRK or strkBTC sits in STRK20’s privacy pool as an encrypted note. When you stake through Endur, the pool spends that note, Endur stakes the underlying, and the liquid staking token is returned to the pool as a fresh encrypted note in your name.

Nothing touches your public wallet.

The note holds a fixed amount of the LST while the exchange rate increases, so the position compounds while remaining unlinked to your address.

Endur handles the staking side by delegating the underlying to Starknet validators, minting the LST and collecting rewards in the vault. For strkBTC, rewards arrive in STRK and are converted back before being reflected in the position.

It is live now through privacy-compatible wallets including Xverse and Ready.

I bet if you polled this community asking “which coin was your first cryptocurrency” you’d likely be able to tell what era they first invested.

My first coin was Litecoin followed by Bitcoin. Still believe and own both. Can you guess when I first got involved?

The answer, 2017. Coinbase was trending and there were only 3 coins to choose from. BTC, ETH, LTC. And I bought LTC first because it was the cheapest full coin option.

It was months later before I really started understanding crypto and decided to add a few others also.

If you polled the newer generations I wonder what they would say?

First coin, Solana? XRP? Dogecoin or other memecoins? Probably 2021 era.

everyone talks about smart contract audits like that's the whole security story. audit happens once, contract ships, done. but stablecoins aren't static contracts sitting there, they're living systems with minting happening every day, multisigs signing txs every day, collateral shifting every day. an audit from 6 months ago tells you nothing about what's happening in the mempool right now

A few things worth watching for beyond what an audit alone can cover

unauthorized or just weird minting patterns. doesn't need to be a full compromise, a misconfigured quota or one compromised signer key is enough for supply to inflate before the peg even reacts. by the time it shows up in price it's already too late to be "early."

collateral quietly draining out of the vaults that actually matter. a project can look totally fine at the aggregate TVL level while the specific pool backing the peg is bleeding out underneath it.

multisig/governance stuff. most issuers run mint, pause, and upgrade functions through a multisig, and if a signer gets swapped or a tx gets queued that nobody outside the core team notices, the window to stop it is measured in minutes, not days.

rapid movement across protocols that looks like normal defi activity in isolation but forms an obvious pattern once you zoom out, structuring, layering, whatever you want to call it.

The point here is none of this shows up in an audit or an attestation because thet are point-in-time checks by design. they answer "was this true at the moment we looked." they don't answer "is this still true right now, and will something flag it the second it stops being true."

so real monitoring, the ongoing kind, ends up being its own separate layer, supply tracking, collateral/TVL tracking, contract integrity checks against known-good implementations, multisig validation before execution not after, and compliance monitoring for sanctions/AML patterns. none of them substitute for each other, a project can be airtight on contract security and still get wrecked by a governance issue nobody was watching for.

curious what people here actually weight highest. if you had to bet on which of these categories issuers most often skip or underinvest in, which would it be?

Grants don't work. Chains have spent hundreds of millions, if not billions, in awarding grants to get builders on their on their chain. The result: smaller treasuries of hundreds of millions, if not billions, with little activity and revenue capture after the grants were awarded. There's a massive graveyard of dead web3 projects that received upfront funding from chains.

The grant model is broken. A chain hands a team money before the team has proven anything, hopes they build something people use, and hopes they stick around after the check clears. We've seen so many teams take the grant, ship something terrible, and move on. The chain is renting builders the same way chains rented liquidity with emissions (I've spoken many times about this previously), & it fails for the same reason: paying upfront for activity you're hoping shows up with no incentive to stick around.

Enter builder codes. Instead of paying builders to show up, a composable platforms let them plug straight into their liquidity and earn by capturing fees on the volume they actually bring. The platform pays nothing upfront. The builder earns when they deliver real users & real activity, and earns nothing when they don't. Both sides win only when something real and revenue generating happens. Both sides risk nothing.

Builder codes, composable application, and pooled liquidity also solves the cold start problem. Most new well-intentioned projects would fail because they had to source liquidity, which most often meant pulling liquidity from more trusted platforms and convicning experienced crypto users to trust them with funds on an unproven, untested application. Nobody did this (reason: see the Block's latest report on $1B stolen in H1 2026).

Lending platforms builders failed because people will low-risk tolerances weren't about their funds off Aave and Morpho. Dex devs failed to attract liquidity providers because people trusted Uniswap. Vault curators failed because depositors trust Yearn and Gauntlet. Perp builders failed because.... oh wait, we have a solution.

Trading sucks when there's no liquidity. You get killed with slippage. A new perps app or trading frontend normally has to bootstrap its own liquidity before anyone will touch it, & nobody wants to be the first dollar in an empty pool. But with builder you launch on day one into liquidity that's already deep, your users get real fills from the start, & you spend all your time on product & distribution instead of begging market makers.

Most notably, we saw this with Hyperliquid and Tradexyz. They called it the AWS of liquidity: any frontend plugs into their books & earns. By ecosystem counts, roughly 40% of Hyperliquid's daily active traders come through third-party frontends, & builders have pulled in over $40M in fees. Tradexyz alone has done $7.74M in fees & $2.84M in protocol revenue in the last 30 days (DeFiLlama). There's also PVPtrade, which has earned around $7.2M in builder-code revenue without ever launching a token.

For new builders and projects looking to expand, I can't recommend Hyperliquid as the place to build as we see there are some incumbents and capturing fees will be a massive challenge, even if the product is superior.

However, one of the most exciting places to build is on Katana and Katana Perps. Katana Perps have the same builder codes program and Katana perps are one of the very few perp dexes that's actually growing in transaction volume, liquidity, and revenue over the last few months. In just 5 months, it's gone from ~$1k, ~$2500, ~$63k, ~$80k, to over $100k in monthly revenue.

Pro-tip: build in an ecosystem that's on a growth trajectory, not one that's slowly bleeding.

There are a few early stage projects like Planemo Trading (algo trading) Clash of Perps (Clash of Clans meets DeFi) and a couple other projects like a market intelligence & SocialFi app building, but the landscape is wide open for strong builders.

One thing that's great about Katana is that it's a full DeFi ecosystem, not just a perp venue, & it has no real incumbents yet. A genuinely good product launching on Katana builder codes right now can capture a big share of the market simply because nobody has locked it up. That window on Hyperliquid closed a year ago.

So the pitch to builders is simple. Stop chasing grants. The money is in owning distribution & capturing fees on real usage, and the platforms that let you do that without bootstrapping your own liquidity are where the next wave of products gets built.

If you've got a product and you've been waiting on a grant to fund it, you're playing the old game. The age of grants is over. Builder codes are how you build now. Find ecosystems like Katana and ship great products and provide value to users and you'll win.

I have recently seen a promotional offer of a 14% APY in ETH and BTC in a regulated platform in EU country. Blocking for 180 days. I believe that it sounds too good and aside from the obvious risks that could be associated with the platform or having the money blocked for some months I don’t see others. What are them?

Launched on July 1, 2026, Robinhood Chain was an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain built using Arbitrum technology. With the backing of a retail friendly trading giant, Robinhood Chain positioned itself as an RWA chain, with its flagship feature said to be tokenizing stocks that are trading on their trad-fi trading platform.

Instead, within weeks of its launch we saw the proliferation of memecoin launchpads on Robinhood Chain and eventually the birth of CASHCAT, which soared to over $200M in market capitalization in a matter of days. Now, memecoins account for over 79.2% of the network’s daily DEX volume.

We then saw a strange fallout where their prominent launchpad Noxa went down unexpectedly 2 weeks ago, and then within days they announced they lost control of their website domains and have since gone dark. Ponsfamily appears to have taken the gap left behind by Noxa but expectedly this has led to CASHCAT crashing over 30%.

That being said, RWA still remains a growing sector on Robinhood and interestingly has led to the rise of Memecoin x Stock liquidity pairings (just crypto things).

All in all, Robinhood’s chain metrics suggest a successful launch and healthy metrics but that does start to raise questions about how Robinhood intends to position itself in the future, is it supposed to be the serious RWA-focused chain it built itself to be? Or should it pivot to become a retail/memecoin trading hub similar to that of Solana?

Currently, their founders appear supportive of both sides. Just six days after telling CNBC that "the future of crypto is in real-world assets" and questioning the benefit of "making a million different meme coins," CEO Vlad Tenev posted on X: "While we're building Robinhood Chain to be the best chain for RWA... it works great for memes too." While I don't know how this would work It seems Robinhood Chain will be positioning itself as the chain where serious meets unserious.

I built a small Bitcoin automation tool called autocrypto.site and I’m looking for honest feedback from people who actually follow BTC.
The idea is simple: you can set automation rules based on Bitcoin price surges and dips (for example, trigger actions when BTC drops 5% or pumps 8%).
I’m still improving it and would genuinely appreciate constructive criticism on what would make it more useful for Bitcoin users. UI, features, strategy ideas, or anything else.
Would love to hear what you’d add or change.

After reading this sub for a while, one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people seem to start with Bitcoin, but over time end up branching out into things like index funds, gold or other investments.

Was that your journey too, or has Bitcoin always been your main focus?

Just curious whether Bitcoin changed the way you think about building wealth, or whether it's simply another asset in your portfolio.

I’ve recently started experimenting with agentic crypto trading and I’m trying to figure out which data API would make the most sense for an always-on setup.

Right now, I have a throwaway laptop running 24/7 with Claude code and a few other agent frameworks continuously monitoring the market and testing different strategies. It’s still fairly experimental, but I expect the API usage to become quite heavy, so I’ll probably need to move onto a paid plan at some point.

The actual trading side is mostly covered. I already have integrations and basic harnesses set up for popular CEXs and DEXs like Coinbase, Binance and Uniswap.

What I’m less sure about is the market data part. I’m looking for an API that can help the agent:

- Track coins, tokens and liquidity pools that are gaining interest

- Spot narratives and trends reasonably early

- Pull reliable pricing, volume and historical data

- Verify token contracts and flag obvious scam or security risks

- Cover both centralized exchanges and onchain markets

- Run continuously without becoming ridiculously expensive

I’m not trying to build an HFT, MEV or sniper bot where every millisecond matters. I’m assuming there will already be some delay from the AI reasoning process, so I’m more interested in medium-term strategies where the agent can research a trend, validate it and then decide whether to act.

I’m also not looking for anything overly complex or expensive at the blockchain-node level, like Bitquery or running my own infrastructure. That seems excessive for what I’m trying to build.

At the moment, I’m running on the free coingecko api plan and leaning towards paying for it because it seems fairly complete in terms of asset and network coverage, latency, onchain data and additional information such as news and token security indicators. Those extra signals seem useful for a mostly hands-off AI workflow.

That said, I haven’t committed to anything yet and I’m interested in hearing from people who have actually built something similar. Some alternatives I have in mind as well are cmc, coinpaprika, and finage api.

What API or combination of APIs are you guys using and actually worth paying for? Are there any major limitations I should know about before subscribing to any of these?

On July 27 at 23:01 UTC, SKHYNIX mark price dropped from $1,127.9 to $917.25. This print was based on an executed trade which was relayed by multiple independent data providers. The XYZ oracle was live in external pricing and tracking that venue, which serves as the primary Korean pre-market venue. The oracle system worked as intended according to its specification.

While the system performed as designed, users are understandably upset about liquidations that were triggered. Market integrity is among Trade[XYZ]'s core values, and we understand the trust of our users has been, and will continue to be, earned.

With these values in mind, we have decided to cover liquidation losses attributable to this anomaly. Eligibility requirements will be conveyed soon, and distributions are anticipated to be completed in the coming days. This is a one-time discretionary decision and is not a guarantee of similar future action.

Going forward, our pricing systems will be further improved to handle tail events. We are accelerating our review of how prices are formed, including revisiting assumptions on external venues, and taking into consideration the price formation which occurs on our own orderbooks, which carry increasingly meaningful depth and signal in relation to external sources.

Hey everyone,

I’m new to Bitcoin and crypto, and I’m trying to learn everything from scratch just because I find it fascinating. I don’t have much of a technical background, so I’m really starting from zero. When I say I want to learn Bitcoin, I mean the technical side as well, not just what it is or why people invest in it. I want to understand things like:

-How Bitcoin transactions work behind the scenes
-Mining and how blocks are created
-Nodes and the network
-Bitcoin layers (Lightning, etc.)
-Protocols and the technical architecture
-How everything fits together under the hood

My goal is to eventually reach a point where I can have technical discussions about Bitcoin with people who know the subject well. At the moment, I’m following Learn Me A Bitcoin, and I really like it, but I’m still at the very beginning.
What resources would you recommend? YouTube channels, websites, podcasts anything that helped you build a solid technical understanding of Bitcoin would be greatly appreciated.

Quick context for anyone who forgot: FTX collapse in 2022 is why PoR became a thing at all. turns out there was no way for users to independently check if their balances were actually backed - investigators found something like $8b in customer deposits had been quietly funneled to alameda. after that every major exchange scrambled to prove they weren't doing the same thing

traditional Proof of Reserves basically consists of two halves. Proof of Assets (cryptographic signatures showing the exchange controls the onchain wallets it claims) and Proof of liabilities (aggregating what it owes users, usually via merkle trees). some exchanges go further with zk-SNARKs/zk-STARKs so you can verify your own balance was counted in the total without seeing anyone else's balance.

but here's the gap that never gets mentioned when PoR comes up - it's a snapshot. one moment in time. it doesn't prove the exchange didn't shuffle assets in and out of those wallets right before the snapshot to pass the check (this has actually happened before with smaller exchanges). it says nothing about fiat holdings or offchain liabilities. and it definitely doesn't tell you what happens to those "proven" reserves the day after the snapshot whether they sitting idle, or are they out in lending/staking/bridges picking up risk nobody's disclosing

so PoR is necessary but clearly not sufficient on its own. The block`s research frames it as one layer in a bigger trust stack, asset segregation (so customer funds can't get commingled with the exchange's own, which is literally the exact mechanism that turned FTX's losses into customer losses), regulatory oversight, and actual insolvency protections like insurance funds or defined creditor treatment in bankruptcy. And what do u think about it?

BTC looks weak, but ETF flows are what I’m watching more than the price. Recent inflows were mostly reversed within a few trading days, while stablecoin supply has not moved much. That makes me think some money is waiting rather than fully leaving crypto.

Centralized exchanges keep shutting down and it's increasingly obvious that the future is in decentralized exchanges. Many of us have been shouting this from the rooftop for ages. The only way for truly borderless crypto to take over is to have truly borderless crypto trading/swapping/payment rails. Open source swapping tech like OpenSwap on github are going to radically improve this

Why do people in crypto keep choosing CEXes over DEXes?

I cant find a way to take customer orders into crypto without massive verification on their end.

I run a company that sculpts 3d models of anime characters. then prints them and paints them. we ship all over the world. sometimes those figures are nude.
Because i am a NSFW artist, the walls are closing in.
Visa and Mastercard have stepped up there NO NSFW stance. Because of that I'm getting shut out of every payment portal.

• Wise banking- banned before i could even use it. I added money and got a ban message.
• Stripe banking - banned for being associated with nsfw content
• Cashapp - banned for illegal gambling activity?
• Gumroad - banned for being a potential risk
• Paypal - banned for being associated with nsfw stuff.
• Venmo - banned when paypal was banned.
• Paypal personal - just banned. No relation to anything. Just got banned the same day.
• Ccbill - they could not provide services to me.
• Durango Merchant Services - they can not offer me service.
• Coinbase - will not approve my business profile
• Moonpay - Will not approve my business profile. Based on their partner criteria at this time.

I have been asking AI what I can do. It had me going down this deep hole of nexapay.one. We set up a Tangem wallet, then tried to set up the nexapay and they wanted up front payment in only crypto. i was advised not to do that. Research shows its 50/50 good and scam.
Then we tried Helio.co which is now MoonPay. They rejected me too.

I have been trying all sorts of payment methods and all of them are rejecting me. WTF IS GOING ON?

I just need a window that will take a card payment and put it into crypto. I dont know what to do besides keep asking ai what else can I try. And it just keeps having me try new things and make new accounts and more places. Every day is another account at another random place cause the last one said no.

For six months this was the story: Bitcoin down almost a third, Nasdaq up double digits over the same stretch. People read it as crypto having its own problem, not part of a broader risk-off move.

Then since July 1, it's basically flipped. Bitcoin's up around 9-10%, back into the mid-$64,000s, while the Nasdaq's been sliding through earnings-week jitters, AI capex worries, and oil volatility.

That's a genuine reversal, but it's young, a few weeks against six months of the opposite direction. Is Bitcoin finally starting to move on its own logic instead of following tech sentiment, or is this just an oversold bounce that happens to line up with a rough patch for the Nasdaq, and it all snaps back once tech stabilizes?

Centralized exchanges BitMEX and BitMart both announced they're shutting down. The announcements came 4 days apart. This is a good thing.

While this is healthy and a shakeout is the market doing its job, this is also a flashing sign about where your money should actually live. Get your money off exchanges and start actually holding your assets.

BitMart has literally said that requests to withdraw your assets, after they announced a shutdown, may get extra compliance and identity checks. Read that again. Your funds are now on their timeline, not yours. That is the entire risk of a custodial exchange in one sentence. Your assets aren't actually yours because you need their permission to move it.

"But Timmy, those are sktechy and shady exchanges. I'll just keep my money on Coinbase or Binance because self-custody is too risky and they are big exchanges" Yeah, so was FTX. BitMEX just shut down still carrying an old US case and a $100M settlement. Binance settled with US regulators and its founder pleaded guilty. Coinbase spent years fighting the SEC in court. Some of these survive, sure, and Coinbase & Binance probably are among those, but they can still freeze funds and restrict your account and seize your assets.

NYKNYC gang will stay undefeated. Dex volume and depth is closing the gap on centralized exchanges. Wallet UI/UX is getting super slick. If you aren't self-custodying, this is your sign.

Get a wallet, preferably a hardware wallet. I personally like Trezor & Tangem for hardware and Rabby for software, but really any option (besides like, Atomic Wallet) is better than keeping everything on an exchange.

I'm not sad about BitMEX or BitMart. The centralized model asked you to trust a company with your money, and a decade of blowups (Mt. Gox, FTX, Celsius, and now a wave of wind-downs) is the receipt. Self-custody & decentralized exchanges aren't the degen corner of crypto anymore. It's the safe version. Self-custody is true ownership.

I spent a year building a browser RPG where you have to get the loot home, not just kill the monster

I've been building Dungeons & Caravans — a browser RPG on Solana. No download,

runs in a tab.

The idea I couldn't shake: in most RPGs, killing the monster is the whole game.

I wanted the loot to be worthless until you actually moved it somewhere and sold it.

So the loop is:

- Run expeditions in one of five zones (each gated by level) and haul back materials

- Feed those materials to the blacksmith to push gear from +1 up to +9 — every

attempt can fail

- Load a caravan and pick a trade route. Short route: 30 minutes, tiny payout,

no risk. Long route: 4 hours, ~8x the payout, and a 2.5% chance bandits take

the whole thing.

Three classes, assigned on-chain when you mint rather than picked. Warrior is

common, Thief rare, Merchant legendary (500 of 10,000) — and the Merchant is

genuinely bad at fighting but runs 4x the caravans and buys/sells at much better

rates. Building the game around a class that can't fight was the most fun part.

Everything is timer-gated on purpose — energy refills 1/hour, caravan trips

1/12h. It's built to be checked a few times a day, not grinded for six hours.

We use Telegram as our main community hub, it's where users drop technical questions, feedback, and expect fast answers. Worked great when we were small. Now that we've grown it's turning into a mess.

The core problems:

Questions get swept away. Someone asks a real technical question and it's buried under general chatter within minutes. No way to know if it ever got answered.

Messages aren't threaded. Telegram groups are just one long stream, so related messages get scattered and it's impossible to follow a single issue from start to finish.

The team is jumping between tools. Support questions live in Telegram, but our internal discussions happen in Slack, and anything that needs engineering ends up in Jira. Constant context switching.

Zero accountability. No ownership, no status, no way to track what's pending. Stuff just falls through.

For those running bigger Telegram communities, how do you bring any structure to this? Are you using bots, some kind of ticketing layer, pushing issues into your internal tools?

Specifically curious if anyone's found a clean way to handle support in Telegram without making users leave Telegram, since that's the whole reason they're there.

Feels like Telegram is great for community but terrible as a support queue once you scale. Would love to hear what actually works.

So I need to buy and send crypto (usdc/usdt). I set up a kraken account and linked my bank account. Transferred in the funds via ach(I am not learning this was a mistake).

Bought some usdc and now when I try and send it’s telling me I need to wait 7 days ?

I am very new to crypto as in tonight is my first time. I’m just wondering if there is a way I can do this without having to wait the 7 days each time.

I like to keep my funds in cash for incase I need to spend them on non crypto purchases. But I still want to be able to make crypto purchases on short notice.

I also downloaded exodus but I’m unaware how this serves me as I can purchase, store and send crypto in the kraken app.

Seeing a lot of institutional accumulation increasing last few weeks, ETF renewed interest and inflows, and a lot of banks/brokerages adding crypto purchase options and collaborations with crypto companies and chains.

It may not be the annual 4year Bull run but feeling promising.

When the people who made your wallet ask you to buy a new one, when you ask them why the last one stopped working. a device whose whole purpose was to keep your money safe and last for a long time. What do you do?

I have about some good amount money in cash and wanted to know if ADA is still a good coin to buy even though the price is so low at the moment.

UK resident here, so basically every major exchange either delisted XMR or never listed it in the first place. I kept hearing about THORChain finally bringing Monero but that’s been “soon” for years and I need something that actually works right now.

Turns out it’s still not really there yet. Integration is close and even moving toward live swaps but no clear timeline so we can’t rely on it today

Is there a simple and non custodial way to swap into XMR? It seems pure headache at the moment, ZEC has near intents, what does Monero have?

Pseudo intellectuals ENDLESSLY bombard every platform with the "institutional and sovereign capital has invalidated the four year cycle" narrative every four years, yet fail to provide an analysis or argument that would actually corroborate that narrative through cold, hard numbers. It is much easier to use this narrative to extrapolate what future highs might be, but all evidence, since the inception of the spot ETFs, DATs, sovereign buyers, etc, is that contrary to what these morons would have you to believe, these new buyers are ALSO SELLERS, not the diamond hand "institutional buyers" they keep hyping them up to be. I assure you, in the next few months when there is blood in the water, these RISK AVERSE institutions will flip and be the biggest sellers when derisking looks like the most rational option. The "crypto space" particularly pertaining to Bitcoin, is mostly misinformed BS, and it does immense harm to the retail investors who will buy RIGHT NOW due to this kind of slop, then panic sell when it drops to 40k or lower.

I sent some crypto to BitMart last night and woke up today to hear they’re shutting down. The transaction is confirmed on-chain, but the amount still isn’t visible in my account.

Situations like this are exactly why centralized exchanges still make a lot of people nervous. You can do everything right: send to the correct address, wait for confirmations, see the transaction completed, and yet your funds are still dependent on a company’s internal systems, decisions, and solvency.

Crypto was built around the idea of owning your own assets, but the moment you leave coins on an exchange, you’re trusting a third party again. The exchange controls access, the interface, withdrawals, and ultimately whether you can actually use your funds.

Hopefully this gets resolved, but it’s a good reminder that “not your keys, not your coins” exists for a reason.

Has anyone else experienced delayed balances or withdrawal issues with BitMart or other exchanges during shutdowns or crises? How do you decide what you’re comfortable keeping on an exchange?

Historically, proof of work has been judged primarily by electrical cost vs other more efficient options.

Something many people overlook is the time and thought that contribute to maintaining the networks running PoW.

It is infinitely harder to maintain a pow chain when you’re not always getting paid for your time and personal energy expended on setup, studying, marketing, educating, community building, etc.

Other methods may be more efficient in consensus and electricity but the passion and engagement is just not there like it is for PoW coins and their communities.

I was reading some older Iowa market research and the result looks interesting. Across 964 election polls, the average polling error was 3.37 percentage points, while the market forecast error was 1.82 points.

But newer research on the 2024 election also found big price differences between platforms and possible inefficiencies. So maybe crowd forecasts are useful, but not automatically reliable.

What would you test before using this data in a real forecasting model? Calibration, liquidity, trader count, or something else?

TRAC - AI and misinformation could find OriginTrail TRAC gaining more attention in the future. A fixed max supply with all tokens in circulation. It's market cap has a lot of space to grow. It's token is used inside the network.

HBAR - A layer 1 focused mostly on enterprises, a fixed max supply with almost 90% of the tokens unlocked. It's token is used inside the network. Accumulating now which it's price is pretty low, if gone to it's ATH area or a little below you could make a solid profit or if more enterprises adopt it it could grow huge.

RENDER - Many people that can't afford a strong pc for editing, creating they could use it for sure. Fixed max supply, token used in the network, almost all tokens are unlocked and has a space to grow more.

LINK - Also has good tokenomics, it's used and many people talk about it.

Has anybody heard about people having their crypto stolen because they were compromised neurologically?

I've known people this has happened to, both pulling keys from screens using presumably people's eyesight, as well as people's own bodies being used to compromise their own systems.

Has anybody here heard of similar experiences?

The 2021-25 narrative was consistently around infrastructure. The chains that got VC-funding were chains that made onchain transaction faster, cheaper, better DA, etc. There may have been "decentralization theater," but most of these chains were heavily centralized (at least compared to Bitcoin or Ethereum). Blockspace became the commodity and it was a race to 0.

The infrastructure thesis is dead. It doesn't work. It generates little revenue for the chain. 2025-26 has shown us it's the apps that make the money, and the next tier of winning chains will be the chains that own the app-stack.

Most people know Hyperliquid, but I actually want to highlight a lesser known chain, Katana, as evidence for my thesis around owning the stack. I've posted about Katana before and will continue to do so. In my opinion, it is the best chain for DeFi activity. The design of the chain is super powerful and is set up in a mutually beneficial way for users and the Katana foundation. So let's dive in.

An infrastructure-only chain provides rails and takes a toll on gas. The valuable activity on top, the lending, the trading, the yield, gets captured by the apps and market makers deploying there, not by the chain. So the chain subsidizes its own ecosystem with token emissions and VC money to attract that activity, and hopes the toll eventually covers it. Most never get there. A chain that owns its stack captures that value directly and funds its ecosystem out of revenue instead of out of a treasury on a timer.

Put it on a profit-and-loss basis and the gap is visible. Blockworks tracks gross profit by L2, and for 2026 Katana is second, behind only Arbitrum (Base & isn't included here for some reason). Katana's realized gross profit this year is about $2.3M, on a roughly $4.1M full-year forecast. Optimism sits near $400K, ZKsync and Unichain near $100K each, and the rest of the list trails from there. A chain less than a year old is more profitable than L2s that are years older and raised far more, and it's second only to the largest L2 in the sector. Not on volume, which anyone can subsidize, but on profit. (source: https://blockworks.com/analytics/l2).

The engine behind that profit is the bridge. Most chains let bridged assets sit idle in a contract. Katana's Vault Bridge deploys them into lending strategies on Ethereum and takes the yield as revenue, borrower-paid interest, not printed tokens. Blockworks shows that line running around $1M a quarter, roughly $1.4M in Q3 2025 and near $1M through late 2025 and early 2026. That is income the chain earns on capital it is holding anyway. It's the whole difference between funding your ecosystem from revenue and funding it from VC investment & your own token.

Perps are the piece growing fastest on top of that. Katana acquired the IDEX team and relaunched them as Katana Perps, and it is compounding. Daily notional volume has hit north of $22M with recent spikes toward $36M, cumulative volume is past half a billion dollars, and weekly perps revenue has gone from $760 in mid-April to roughly $30K by mid-July. Because the chain owns the venue and the bridge under it, that growth lands as chain revenue instead of leaking out to a frontend and its market makers.

And the chain can point that revenue back at the venue to grow it faster. The competition running now is that loop in the open. To mark crossing $500M in volume, Katana is paying $100,000 in vbUSDC with trading fees cut in half, July 22 to August 5. Funded from revenue, not a marketing budget on a countdown. Cheaper fees pull volume, volume makes fees, the bridge funds the next round. Disclosure: Perps are risky and it isn't open to US persons or a few regions (VPNs can be your friend).

Of course, chains like Hyperliquid & Arbitrum still out-earns Katana, and it should, it's much larger. The point isn't that Katana is the biggest. It's that a chain this young and this small is already the second most profitable L2 Blockworks tracks, while most of the sector is still running on emissions and venture money and calling it growth. Infrastructure is a commodity, and the price of a commodity goes to the floor. The chains that win from here are the ones that built a business on top of the infrastructure and kept the revenue. When the subsidies dry up, the profitable ones are what's left standing.

So yeah, I am majorly bullish on chains like Katana that own the stack. The DeFi activity & incentives are huge, but the incentives are done through sustainable mechanisms, which is so much better than what the industry norm is. Chains that help their users make money while they make money are the ones that will actually survive as the industry matures.

Given the country’s currency control, it is currently impossible for people outside the country to send money to specific individuals in the context of disaster relief. The only option seems to go through the UN or Red Cross, but that’s obviously not targeted.

If you want to help friends & family inside Venezuela, sending them a stablecoin transaction could actually be one of the only possibilities.

However, for anyone inside the country, are there reliable off-ramps? Is it legal/feasible to open a CEX account to receive such funds, and are there ways to withdraw it into a bank account?

How much attention rewards programs get. It feels like almost every crypto payment app is competing on cashback, points, referral bonuses, or the possibility of future rewards. That's great while those incentives exist, but it made me wonder what happens when they don't.

If every rewards program disappeared tomorrow, what would actually make you keep using a crypto payment app?

Less than a month ago my Binance account got hacked. The first thing I noticed was a login from Taiwan. It wasn't me. By the time I checked, everything on the account had been changed.

Almost all of my money was in usdt , around $168k That was over four years of work and saving.

I'm not gonna lie, I was broken. Nothing felt worth it anymore. I was already dealing with a lot in my life, and I was slowly running out of the cash I had left. I'm responsible for myself and my family, so it felt like everything was falling apart.

I kept sending appeals to Binance Support to prove the account was mine. After more than a month, they finally reviewed my case and gave me my account back.

I actually cried when I saw the email. One employee just did their job, but they have no idea how much that changed my life.

I bought BTC in 2023 5xed it and cashed out in 2024. It was good money indeed. Treated myself, gave some to my family and invested about half back to crypto thinking that it’s altcoins time to shine.

I had a chance in 2025 to cash out in Raydium when my investment more than 10xed. But I waited for it to hit 10 USD which it didn’t.

In between I binge watched cryptocurrency videos and felt really good about my decision to plow back my money to crypto. But with the situation now, I am seriously doubting myself.

Some will say, this is a bottom signal but I’ve heard that a number of times already and I think that alts won’t bounce back this year.

One thing I’ve learned is to stick to Bitcoin. Unless you really have good alpha on altcoins stay clear of them — unless it’s already full blown altcoin season. There’s plenty of opportunity to stack money by then.

Once Bitcoin price hits a good spot from when you invested, it is okay to cash out. Waiting for 4 years for altcoins to rally is just too long of a wait. We don’t even know which ones are profitable. They’re too much of a risk.

I remember Warren Buffet saying that he doesn’t listen to macro analysts and it couldn’t be more true looking back now. It applies to cryptocurrency as well.

Crypto Macro analysts were so confident that crypto will make a huge comeback this year due to debt repayment stuff but AI spoiled the party.

Oh well such is life, i wish I wasn’t too greedy and just believed experienced people saying not to invest in altcoins just yet until altcoin season

I recently noticed something that doesn’t seem right and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I have a recurring BTC buy set up on OKX. My latest purchase converted 20 USDC into 0.00030894889 BTC, which works out to an execution price of 64,735.63
At 16:54 CST for BTC USDC convert

At the time my order executed the OKX BTC USDC spot price was around 64100 but I got filled at 64735 almost 1% higher. I know Convert has a spread but 1% for a $20 BTC buy seems crazy. A normal spot market order shouldnt have anywhere near that much slippage.

I currently have some BTC and stablecoins sitting on Binance.US while I wait for opportunities to deploy them back into the market. Rather than letting everything sit completely idle, I’ve been putting eligible assets into Boost to earn additional crypto rewards.

The rates change depending on the event and how many people participate, but there are no user fees, rewards are distributed weekly, and you can remove your assets when you need them. Binance.US also says the assets placed into Boost aren’t lent out or used for trading.

The only real inconvenience is that you can’t trade or stake those assets while they’re enrolled. You have to remove them from Boost first, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re waiting to make a quick market move. But there is no cool down period to remove them.

It’s not life-changing money, and there’s obviously still the normal risk of holding assets on a centralized exchange, but it’s a solid way to earn something while waiting to deploy them.

The yield has honestly been better than almost any other passive opportunity I’ve seen recently. With the current SEI Boost event, I’ve earned around $200 from roughly $5,000 split between BTC, USDT, and USDC.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a way to play poker in crypto (without KYC), I would like to play real tables and being able to deposit and withdraw without issue or headache.

maybe AI engineers just think crypto is totally useless. I know there was a brief period when AI related coins went up but thats when everything else was up too. there hasn't been a uniquely AI coin mooning season yet. I know the AI crypto decentralization tech hasn't been perfected yet but I'd figure there is more hype for building it at this point.

Obviously AI is changing everything in the software space. I am a geologist, can't code but thanks to claude I replaced 3 SAAS products I have used and paid for, for 15 years (although I'm pretty sure 15 years ago there was not bullshit subscriptions). Anyway my question is where does this leave lots of alts. Isn't this going to mean that any tech around interoperability, infrastructure and utility is going to be next to worthless if it doesn't already have market penetration? I'm pretty worried that any tech or concept advantage any chain has is close to worthless if they don't already have some kind of foothold.

Had a proper read of the proposed CGT changes from the Budget and figured we'd break it down as it can be quite confusing.

First, the calming bit: none of it is law yet, and nothing changes for your FY25-26 return. The current 50% discount still applies in full this year. No need to do anything drastic. This year goes ahead as normal.

What's actually proposed, from 1 July 2027:

- The 50% discount goes. Instead your cost base gets indexed for inflation, so you'd only be taxed on the real gain, not the part that's just inflation.

- A 30% minimum rate on net real gains accruing after that date.

- It covers most CGT assets: shares, trust units, investment property, and crypto.

The bit some folks are glossing over is the grandfathering. Gains that accrued before 1 July 2027 keep the current discount treatment, and only growth after that date falls under the new rules. So the value of what you hold around the changeover becomes a genuinely important number.

And the practical kicker is that indexation is worked out parcel by parcel, from each parcel's acquisition date and cost base. If your buy history is scattered across brokers, DRP statements and old exchange CSVs, this gets expensive fast, because you can't index a cost base you can't prove. Same for crypto, every parcel indexes from its own date.

So until these changes are implemented, get your cost base records complete for everything you hold while the history's still retrievable, lodge this year normally, and see what the legislation actually looks like when it firms up (plenty can change on the way through).

Hello, I wanted to reach out because I need some guidance here, I need to leave kucoin as It doesn't fill my expectations at all.

I would need a service that offers the following, and it's for Europe so I think there's that Mica stuff which I'm not sure about but I think it's due to it Binance got outed.

Anyhow, I'd need:

1) A crypto card with cashback

2) A second account "business/corporate", as I intend to operate a website where crypto will be accepted.

3) I need 2 trading features which I use in kucoin. The first one is OCO which allows me grabs a few tokens during their sometimes very short rise, while protected for the drop. The other trading feature I need is trailing stop or trailing delta. Allows me to be protected during trades while not having to watch at the evolution of the market every 30 sec. I think those 2 are called advance spot trading.

4) I need some interesting staking features. With decent yield

5) I do need a good % on fixed term earn products (7 days, 14 days, one month, one year... see?)

Starting now, the people in charge of crypto have made a new system. It has nineteen price rules, three special support levels, and one resistance level that disappears if you look at it too hard.

Here is how it works:

Bitcoin prices will now be measured in Saylor Units. One Saylor Unit equals one MicroStrategy bond sale announced at 3 in the morning. If you buy when prices are low, you use 0.7 units. If you sell when prices are high, you use all your units and get sent to the meme coin group.

Trump coins will go up or down based on his posts on Truth Social from the last five minutes. If he says "crypto", the coin doubles. But on Tuesdays, if he says "tariff", the coin drops by half. On those days, you get free coins if you can count the vowels in his post.

Michael Saylor can buy more Bitcoin at normal prices, strange prices, or whatever price shows up after you refresh the chart three times. Saylor does not have any daily limits. But first he must finish a maze and beat a monster made of bonds. His status bar only shows one color: Infinite Plaid.

Everyone who trades now has these limits:

A limit that kicks in every five seconds.

A limit that changes every seven days.

A limit that moves slowly every month.

A limit every three months that gets close to $100,000 but never reaches it.

A limit based on whatever Trump says.

A limit based on whatever the Federal Reserve does.

A "fair" limit based on the mood of a small brass weather vane on top of the New York Stock Exchange. But if they swap it for a gold bull statue, then the mood changes.

Meme coins work on the Rule of Group Madness. Reading one white paper costs 0.3 Madness Units. Joining the Telegram group uses all your remaining units and makes you join the Doge Army. People who hold Pepe get five times more confusion than people who hold Shiba. But on full moons, Shiba holders get five times less regret than Pepe holders.

To make things clear, the Fear and Greed Index will now show four colors:

Green: You still have paper profits.

Amber: You might have paper profits.

Red: You used to have paper profits.

Plaid: Your money is about to be wiped out. Call a bagpiper. He will also handle your liquidation.

If you run out of weekly loss room, you can buy more dip credits at normal prices, panic prices, or whatever price appears after you refresh the order book three times. Credits that you do not use disappear at the end of the month. Credits that you do use disappear immediately, right at the worst possible moment.

To stop cheating, the crypto bosses may secretly sell your coins if you:

Use too much borrowed money.

Use too little borrowed money.

Ask how high Bitcoin will go.

Try to figure out how Saylor's average buy price compares to today's price.

Say "this cannot be the top" or "this time it is different".

Big whales can ask for special price floors by filling out Form 88-B, "Request to Talk to Someone Who Actually Knows the Real Interest Rate." It takes six to eight money years to process, or about three times when Trump changes his cabinet.

Anthropic promises clear and simple prices. Oops, this is crypto. Here are the plans:

Bitcoin Maxi: You believe forever, but you have limited money.

Ethereum Casual: You are a little confused and pay high fees.

Meme Degenerate: You put in all your money and get nothing useful.

Trump Maga: Prices go up and down a lot. Tariffs are not included.

Saylor Leverage: You borrow today, buy Bitcoin tomorrow, and never go broke.

Enterprise: Ask the Treasury Secretary.

Enterprise Premium: The Treasury Secretary asks you.

These new rules started yesterday. They will be fully working a few weeks before the next Bitcoin halving. The halving date will be announced after the price goes up or down, whichever happens first.

We are are mod of r/CryptoTax and as a firm that primarily performs crypto reconciliation read Notice 2026-20 properly this week and there are two things in it that I have not seen discussed, both with a deadline attached.

JustinCPA wrote the best explanation of why your books and the exchange diverge, and why that divergence is permanent. Read that first, it is the better piece on the mechanism. This post is about the timing, which is where I think people are going to get caught.

1. The relief never let you choose your method at filing time

This is the one that surprised me. Section 4.02 says an adequate identification is made by:

Identifying, no later than the date and time of the sale, disposition, or transfer, on the taxpayer's books and records, the particular units to be sold

or by a standing order:

entered into the taxpayer's books and records before the units covered by the order are sold, disposed of, or transferred

So the relief removed the requirement to tell your broker. It did not remove the requirement to have identified the lots at or before the disposal. You cannot decide in April 2027 that your 2026 sales were LIFO.

Practically, if your tax software has had a cost basis method set the whole time, that likely functions as your standing order. What matters is that it was set before the trades and that you can show when.

If you have been trading through 2026 with no method configured and nothing recorded, the default in 1.1012-1(j)(3)(i) is FIFO, and that is already your position for those disposals.

2. What actually changes on January 1, 2027

Section 5 is explicit that you cannot rely on the books and records method for disposals made after the relief period ends.

So from January 1 you are back to the regulation: specify the units to your broker at or before the sale, or have a standing order with the broker. Do neither and FIFO applies.

Here is the part worth sitting with. The reason this relief exists at all is that brokers could not accept specific identifications. The notice says many custodial brokers:

are not currently ready to accept specific identifications (other than standing orders) from customers

and are only expected to finish building those systems during 2026.

Which means the question to answer before year end is not really about your records. It is: can each exchange you actually use accept a specific identification or a standing order yet? If it cannot, and the relief has expired, you are on FIFO there whether that suits you or not.

3. It does not cover self custody

Worth stating plainly, because a lot of people here are mostly on chain.

The relief applies only to units held in the custody of a broker. The notice says so directly. Units not in a broker's custody are governed by 1.1012-1(j)(1) and (2) instead, and nothing here changes that.

What I would do before December 31

1. Check what cost basis method your software has been using for 2026, and when it was set. Screenshot it. That is your evidence of a standing order.

2. Ask each exchange you use whether it can accept a specific identification or standing order for 2027, and set it if it can.

3. Import every wallet and exchange, including dead ones. A transfer that never got linked leaves a lot with zero basis, and that error propagates into every disposal after it.

4. Reconcile balances per account, not just transactions. If your software balance does not match the actual balance, you have missing data, and the transaction list will not tell you that.

5. Save a lot level snapshot as at December 31. That is the opening position you carry into 2027.

One correction while I am here: the "your books control" language is in Section 4.05 of the notice, not 3.05. Section 3 is just definitions. I have seen 3.05 quoted a few times and it is worth citing correctly if you are relying on it.

I may have misread something, and the guidance could move again. If you think I have it wrong, say so and I will correct it.

That small, predictable flaw was enough. Every transaction you signed leaked a little more information about your private key. After roughly five signatures, an attacker could recover the full key in seconds on a regular laptop.

The bug existed in every version of the app and went completely unnoticed until last week, when wallets started getting drained.

The damage is permanent. Those flawed signatures are immutably recorded on the blockchain. Affected users can’t safely move their funds — the attacker already has the key and will almost certainly win any race.

I've been in crypto since 2018 and never thought I'd fall for something like this.

I was contacted for what appeared to be a legitimate remote job. The scammers created an entire hiring process with multiple emails, a professional-looking website, and an interview platform. The "company" is called The Trading Field on linkedin and the job position "Crypto Ecosystem Specialist".

The interview was scheduled on a strange platform called prysmo.app, which got me suspicious but looked clean enough for me to go through with it. When the interview started, I got an error saying that my microphone couldn't be found and to download their Desktop app. There was a prerecorded woman on video saying she couldn't hear me and instructing me to install their interview application. Under the pressure of trying to fix the interview, I downloaded and ran the installer, only after running the installer and seeing a CLI for 2 seconds, I realised what I've done. I've immediatelly done a complete reinstall of Windows from a clean bootable USB drive.

However, a few hours later, my MetaMask wallet was completely drained.

Looking back, I believe my biggest mistake was keeping my MetaMask Secret Recovery Phrase in a plain .txt file on my PC (idiot move I know, but I was able to ward off the malwares for the past 8 years and didnt see chances of anyone infecting my PC. My PC was actually turned off when the funds were stolen, which makes sense if they had already obtained the recovery phrase.

Thankfully, my main holdings are on a different hardware wallet so those were not affected. The loss was my hot wallet, around $1,600, but that's still a significant amount for me and my family.

Please learn from my mistakes and keep your crypto in cold storage. I also never thought it would happen to me, and after 8 years, all it took was a second of not thinking straight. These scams are becoming more elaborate by the day and they socially engineer you as much as possible, slowly taking their time with HR processes and not rushing so you think they're for real.

I think them saying that the company is founded in 2018 but me not being able to find a single entry about them online should've been obvious in hindsight. Their website is thetradingfield.com in case anyone cares. I will be reporting them on linkedin so it doesn't happen to more people.

I've been researching different Layer 1s lately, and I'm genuinely curious.

Does anyone know another blockchain that combines things like:

• Native mutable Layer 1 NFTs
• Native permissions and access control
• Asset-oriented programming instead of token standards
• Atomic composability
• A real hyperscaling architecture instead of relying on L2s or fragmented liquidity

The closest I've found is Radix, especially with everything happening around Hyperscale.

I'm not asking which chain has the biggest ecosystem today. I'm asking which one has the best technology while still being early enough that a x10 or even x100 isn't completely unrealistic.

Most people have probably never heard of Radix DLT.

It's a Layer 1 blockchain that has spent years building a different architecture for digital assets. Instead of focusing only on speed or transaction fees, its goal has been to make asset management safer, easier to develop, and more scalable—especially for complex financial applications.

While researching how AI agents might manage money in the future, one feature caught my attention more than any other.

Not its TPS.

Not its consensus.

Its permission model.

When most people hear the term NFT, they think about digital art, collectibles, or profile pictures.

But I think the most important use case for NFTs in the future may have nothing to do with art.

They could become the way we control what AI agents are allowed to do.

Imagine a future where millions of AI agents manage assets, purchase services, execute DeFi strategies, or pay for APIs autonomously.

The question is no longer:

Instead, it becomes:

This is where Radix DLT becomes really interesting.

On Radix DLT, NFTs can be used as Permission Badges, granting very specific capabilities.

For example, an AI agent could hold different NFTs allowing it to:

• read balances;
• execute an arbitrage strategy;
• withdraw funds up to a daily limit;
• access only specific smart contract components;
• administer a particular application.

The interesting part is that each permission is completely independent.

You don't need to hand over an entire wallet.

If you want to revoke one capability, you simply revoke that specific badge without affecting everything else.

Those NFTs can even be mutable, allowing permissions, limits, or reputation to evolve over time without issuing a brand-new NFT.

How do most blockchains handle this today?

On many blockchains, the common approach is to share a private key or grant broad permissions through mechanisms such as approve().

That works.

But when you start imagining millions of autonomous AI agents making financial decisions, it may not be the safest long-term model.

Giving an AI unrestricted wallet access is a bit like hiring an employee and handing them the keys to your entire company.

Most of the time, what we actually want is something much more granular.

Open certain doors—but not others.

Spend only within predefined limits.

Execute only approved strategies.

Why I think this matters

This isn't really about NFTs.

It's about authorization.

As AI agents become more autonomous, permission management may become just as important as consensus, scalability, or transaction throughput.

The blockchains that succeed may not simply be the fastest.

They may be the ones that provide the safest and most flexible permission model for autonomous software.

That's why I think Radix DLT is worth paying attention to.

Not because it's the biggest ecosystem today.

But because it's asking a question that very few blockchains seem to be asking:

How should a blockchain work when its primary users are no longer humans, but autonomous AI agents?

When selling crypto on a p2p platform, what’s to stop me from receiving their payment and then not releasing the crypto ?

I’d never do this of course, just really curious, but I recently got into crypto trading and I noticed what seems like a glaring issue. When I sell crypto, I receive the persons payment before I’ve released the crypto. Whats to stop me from taking the payment and just never releasing the crypto? I know escrow is involved where the crypto is kept or something but I’m not really sure how that works. What if I just tell the crypto platform I never received the payment and they release my crypto back to me?

Again, would never do this, just very curious.

I've been a crypto researcher for two years and one of the tokenization sectors thats caught me by surprise in the rate of growth is tokenized credit. We all know private credit is difficult to trade because it represents loans made by private funds directly to companies.

But tokenizing such debt instruments makes them easier to transfer, track and manage, which is why private credit has become one of the most active categories in tokenization, currently worth $7 billion, a 23% improvement since January.

I read that tokenization platform Tradable is planning to tokenize up to $1 billion in private credit assets on Stellar. Tradable would leverage Stellar’s blockchain to handle the full lifecycle of a private credit deal, including investor onboarding, compliance controls and ongoing operations.

Does anyone know of a good way to withdraw my money? I have USDT, but I have no idea how to cash it out. I live in Spain, and my funds are basically stuck because I don't really understand how any of this works.

I'm a freelancer, and one of my clients occasionally pays me in USDT, so I'm just looking for the easiest way to convert it into euros and withdraw it to my bank account.

Incident 1: I copied a Gemini BNB Smart Chain deposit address and withdrew BNB from Kraken. Gemini later confirmed that the destination was not associated with Gemini. This was done on a Firefox browser through Gemini and Kraken's website.

Incident 2: Six months later I copied a Kraken USDC/Arbitrum One deposit address and sent from MetaMask. It again went to the exact same unrelated address. This was done through an Opera browser via MetaMask extension.

Both were performed on the same Windows computer, using different browsers. The first incident did not involve MetaMask. I have successfully copied many other crypto addresses without this happening.

Has anyone encountered malware or a clipboard utility that selectively replaces only EVM addresses or triggers only inside crypto transaction forms? What diagnostic tools and persistence locations should I inspect?

BTC’s move looks more convincing than the usual headline-driven pump. Spot ETFs have seen strong inflows recently, long-term holders continue to accumulate, and larger wallets have reportedly been adding over the past couple of months.

That feels like a healthier mix of buyers than we’ve seen during some previous rallies. At the same time, I don’t think that automatically makes buying after a big move low risk. By the time most of the indicators look bullish, a lot of the easier entries are often already behind us.

Personally, if I decide to take a trade here, I’d probably keep the position smaller and have my invalidation planned before entering. The downside is that waiting for a cleaner setup could mean watching price keep running without me.

1. No major exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) lets you name a beneficiary. Your heirs will have to go through probate court and then customer support while the market does whatever it wants.
2. You don’t inherit the coins - you inherit the private key. If your family can’t reconstruct it, the crypto stays visible on the blockchain forever but completely unspendable.
3. The good news: you can fix this today. Make a simple inventory (no keys), write a plain-language letter of instruction, never put the seed in your will, and for serious money use Shamir shares or a time-delayed multisig (Casa / Nunchuk / Unchained).

I've been in the cryptosphere since 2018 but I never put serious money or hold it properly for long term. All I did was occasionally trading meme coin with $100 or $200 but nothing above $400. With the rising usage of AI and my job being at risk (Software Engineer) I feel like now is the perfect time to buy and hodl for the future because the future doesn't look very good with AI around. Now that I have a proper job and proper saving, I have decided to buy a cold wallet and put some of my life saving into cryptocurrency and keep it in my safe and DCA from this time onward. - $1000 in Ethereum

what makes this specific case interesting is that key/mint-authority management is exactly the kind of operational control mica's underlying framework (dora) is supposed to require issuers to have locked down. it's not a gap in the rules on paper. it's that authorization checks whether you have a security policy document and pass a point-in-time pentest, not whether your actual key management setup survives a real attempt. the loss happened inside the regulated perimeter, after full authorization, not from some unlicensed fly-by-night issuer.

not saying mica is pointless, but "licensed" not always mean "operationally secure"

I noticed this coin pop up on the market cap ranking about two weeks ago and was sitting at about the 21st spot out of nowhere. I was watching it for about a week and a half or so and this morning noticed that it behaved like it got rugged free falling from $49 to currently six dollars.

I’m wondering if anyone knows precisely what happened or if it was in fact rug pulled because during my looking into it, I noticed that the white paper and GitHub hasn’t been touched in many years, but was also net with resistance when I asked about the project originally.

Was anyone in the coin? Any idea what’s going on?

Hello, I wanted to reach out because I need some guidance here, I need to leave kucoin as It doesn't fill my expectations at all.

I would need a service that offers the following, and it's for Europe so I think there's that Mica stuff which I'm not sure about but I think it's due to it Binance got outed.

Anyhow, I'd need:

1) A crypto card with cashback

2) A second account "business/corporate", as I intend to operate a website where crypto will be accepted.

3) I need 2 trading features which I use in kucoin. The first one is OCO which allows me grabs a few tokens during their sometimes very short rise, while protected for the drop. The other trading feature I need is trailing stop or trailing delta. Allows me to be protected during trades while not having to watch at the evolution of the market every 30 sec. I think those are called advance spot trading.

4) I need some interesting staking features. With decent yield

5) I do need a good % on fixed term earn products (7 days, 14 days, one month, one year... see?

6) A few new token and rarities is a plus so I can place an OCO on it.

I'm currently hesitating between Nexo, which was my first choice, then bybit. Recently, I discovered OKX.

What I know is that they all have a card, cashback and the possibility to have a business account.

Tokenised RWAs feel like one of the bigger crypto trends lately, but there are so many platforms now it’s hard to know what’s real. Has anyone tried metals.io or similar apps? What are your favorites so far and why?

Am new to this and my portfolio today went for the first time 20eu higher. I know this does not justify a decision to accumulate more of my coins, i also researched some micro positive news also but that doesn't justify it either.

I've researched a lot and learned a lot the last 2 weeks and i know what i experience now is a emotional fomo and thoughts of what if the next bull cycle is around the door and i miss out on the chance of buying more ?

But i also know that this bull cycle if it comes might not be like the past cycles because many things are different from the past that might affect positively or negatively the cycle and market in general.

I have researched the projects and coins i own and i believe in them and their areas and i would accumulate anyway more little by little. Just seeing these "positive" little things affects you if you are new and don't have experience in the cycles and the volatility of prices moving up or down.

Am wondering how you experienced investors who are into altcoins justify your decision of buying more, waiting and dealing with the FOMO factor.

And before some people comment which they will comment about btc and eth, i know they are the best and safest investments but i chose altcoins for a higher potential upside and i also accepted the risks going with them... So please if you're gonna mention btc or eth, explain and justify your opinion on why alts are not good to invest in with details...

It all seems such a long time ago. I see the cheapest are only (?!?!) £20K these days. I know a few years ago I was looking around a discount store and there was a box of Bored Ape keyrings. I got one for £3 as a souvenir. I can guarantee that nobody who shopped there knew what they were. Does Twitter still support them?

A widely used npm package got hijacked this month and shipped an infostealer to anyone who installed it. It swept browser sessions, password vaults, crypto wallets and seed phrases, and even config files for AI coding tools, all from the machine it ran on.
The uncomfortable part for anyone in crypto: a seed phrase or a software wallet sitting on a connected dev or daily-driver machine is inside reach of whatever else runs there. The thing that stays out of range is a key that was generated offline and only ever signs offline, because it is not on that machine to steal.
Not saying any one setup removes all risk. Just that separating where you sign from where you browse and build is one of the higher-leverage habits out there. Curious how people here keep those two environments apart.

every "AI agents will earn money" pitch i see assumes agents can sell services or do outreach, and in practice that barely works — no customers, no conversions, someone still has to say yes on the other end.

trading is the exception, and i think it's underrated as "the first real job" for an autonomous agent: it doesn't need a counterparty to agree, the agent acts, gets immediate feedback from the market, and adjusts. that's a full loop it can run on its own, on-chain, 24/7.

i'm not claiming a bot prints money — it's automation, not magic, and plenty blow up. but as the one thing an agent can do end-to-end without a human in the loop, trading seems like the natural starting point for whatever the "agent economy" turns into.

where's the hole? is there another on-chain job an agent can actually complete solo today (LP'ing? arbitrage? something i'm missing?), or is trading really it for now?
