I was explaining Bitcoin self-custody to a friend today. They couldn't grasp that the coins aren't actually "inside" the physical hardware wallet, but live on the blockchain, and the device just holds the private keys.
It made me realize how much of a mental shift Bitcoin requires compared to traditional banking.
